Swinburne's Centre for Transformative Innovation is hosting a public lecture by Professor Joel Mokyr from Northwestern University who will discuss how rapidly improving research tools impact on future economic well-being and how the threats to growth are coming from the institutional-political direction, not traditional economic forces.

WEN (Victoria) is very pleased to welcome Professor Karen Mumford, who is visiting Australia from the University of York. In this seminar, Karen will look at what’s changed for women economists in academia and discuss the challenges they still encounter. She will share her recent analysis of the gender pay gap amongst academic economists in the UK and how it has (not) changed this century.
